EMAI Uganda Branch
Extending God’s Love Through Faith and Service
As part of its international mission to spread the Gospel and demonstrate Christ’s love through practical action, ÉGLISE ET MINISTÈRES AGAPE INTERNATIONAL (EMAI) established its branch in the Republic of Uganda, operating under Registration Number 80020001039835, issued in Kampala on May 29, 2018.
Since its establishment in Uganda, EMAI has become a beacon of hope and compassion, particularly in South-Western Uganda, where it serves both refugee and host communities. Guided by the vision of its founder, Bishop Emmanuel Kabano, the church has expanded its ministry beyond spiritual nourishment to embrace humanitarian action, with a special focus on vulnerable families, widows, orphans, youth, and refugees—many of whom have fled conflict and insecurity in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Over the years, EMAI Uganda has established and supported numerous local churches and fellowship centers across the region. These churches have become instruments of transformation, significantly changing lives through evangelism, discipleship, prayer, community outreach, and social support programs. Through these growing congregations, thousands of people have found spiritual guidance, renewed hope, stronger family relationships, and opportunities to contribute positively to their communities.
Through its presence in Uganda, EMAI continues its mission of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ while actively responding to the social and economic challenges faced by displaced populations. The church has become a source of encouragement and support for refugee communities, promoting dignity, resilience, and peaceful coexistence through acts of love, charity, and community outreach.
Rooted in the biblical principle of loving one’s neighbor, EMAI Uganda implements faith-based initiatives that strengthen families, empower youth, support vulnerable households, and provide spiritual guidance to those seeking hope and restoration. The church serves as a welcoming spiritual home where people from diverse backgrounds can worship, grow in faith, and experience the transforming power of God's love.
EMAI’s vision in Uganda is to build a Christ-centered community that reflects God's compassion through both word and deed. Inspired by the example of the early Church, EMAI encourages believers to live out their faith through generosity, service, and commitment to the well-being of others. By fostering unity, inclusion, and mutual support, the ministry seeks to create lasting positive change in communities across the region.
Today, EMAI Uganda stands as a testimony to the power of faith in action—bringing hope to the vulnerable, strengthening communities, and extending the message of Christ’s unconditional love to refugees, host populations, and all those in need throughout South-Western Uganda and beyond. Through its network of churches, dedicated servants of God, and community-based ministries, EMAI continues to witness lives transformed, families restored, and communities uplifted by the love and grace of Jesus Christ.
Our mission is rooted in love and brotherhood, and aims to promote unity and compassion among believers.
We believe that love is the foundation of a thriving community. Every act of kindness reflects the teachings of Jesus and inspires others to walk in faith.
By valuing diversity and fostering an atmosphere of acceptance, we aspire to be a source of hope and light for those around us.

We’d Love to Hear From You
